The Miami Action Showcase, a community-led movement powered by Living Cities and Main Street America, was an awesome event held on Friday, July 19, 2024. The day began with a light breakfast, networking at Miami Dade College Campus located in Coconut Grove and a Showcase Presentation on the B3 Community Commercial Acquisition Fund. Attendees enjoyed a walking tour of Coconut Grove Corridor, highlighting ongoing projects and community needs. The event continued with a tour of Overtown’s commercial district, followed by a delightful lunch at Tipico Dominicano in Allapattah. The afternoon featured a tour of Allapattah’s commercial area and a final meeting at the Miami-Dade Beacon Council to discuss the B3 Commercial Acquisition Fund, strategic planning, and next steps. The day concluded with a Q&A session, and yes I asked questions.
